Wiha zai Hause is the new brand of the Wiha Group. With Wiha zai Hause, we offer high-quality and modern products for the DIY and “do-it-yourself” sector. For us, Wiha zai Hause tools and everyday products are more than a mere means to an end; their innovative and appealing design turns them into something very special.

As a 100 percent subsidiary of the Wiha group of companies, we can access the know-how of the traditional company Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH. At the same time, we also benefit from the opportunities in the cooperation with our sister company zai Hause Technology in China, which creates innovative and groundbreaking new products under the Wiha zai Hause brand with its own development and product management team.


Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH, based in Schonach in the Black Forest, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hand tools for professional use. Founded in 1939 as a family business, Wiha is now a globally operating company – still owner-managed by the third generation of the Hahn family. The high quality of Wiha tools – “Made in Germany” – in design and functionality is confirmed by numerous international awards.

In 2016, Wiha was included in the TOP 100 most innovative companies in the German SME sector. Another important milestone in the company’s 80-year history is the launch of the first e-screwdriver SpeedE® in 2018.


Wiha zai Hause combines traditional tool manufacturing at the highest level of Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH with the innovative and unique design in the “do-it-yourself” area of zai Hause Technology. The products are aimed primarily at the discerning do-it-yourselfer and for use at home.

The name “Wiha zai Hause” is a combination of Mandarin and German and means “at home”, which is a synonym for the perfect combination of German tradition and engineering and Chinese innovation and aesthetic design. The Wiha zai Hause brand follows a clear design language and therefore sees itself in the tradition of the Bauhaus and its reduction to the essentials.

Following Dieter Rams and his ten theses for good design, Wiha zai Hause sees itself as innovative, aesthetic and understandable:
